Have Fun and Learn Gymnastics
Cambridge Gymnastics Academy’s recreational sessions for girls and boys are the perfect class to lead on to from the pre-school independent child session, or for any young school aged child seeking to have fun and learn gymnastics along the way. The one hour session comprises of a 10 minute warm up, 15 minutes on core skills and badge work on floor then 2 x 15 minute rotations around the apparatus (beam, bars, vault, P Bars and trampoline alternating each week), cool down and appraisal.
Recreational classes now follow CGA’s award scheme which ranges from level 1-7 & children can achieve a certificate for each piece of apparatus for each level. This is designed to give the gymnast progression and a sense of achievement. Once the gymnast has successfully performed the skills necessary on their badge, then the following term they will move onto the next level. A presentation of awards is held on the last week of term.
