We’re looking for a passionate and ambitious coach to join our team as Assistant Head of Women’s Competitive Performance, working closely alongside our High Performance Coach (HPC) to support the day-to-day running, development and continued growth of our Women’s competitive pathway.
This is an exciting opportunity that could suit an experienced Women’s Artistic Coach looking for their next challenge, or a talented developing coach with the drive, attention to detail and potential to progress into a senior coaching role.
⏰ Full-time – 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
📅 Current working days: Monday-Thursday & Saturday
💷 Very competitive salary, dependent on qualifications and experience

As Assistant Head of Women’s Competitive Performance, you’ll become a key member of our competitive coaching team, working alongside our HPC to support the delivery and development of the programme.
For an experienced coach, we can shape the role around your strengths and expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for groups, contribute your technical knowledge and ideas, support the wider coaching team and play an active part in developing our competitive pathway.
For a developing coach, this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career.
You’ll receive a comprehensive mentoring and development programme in the run-up to Christmas, working closely alongside our exceptional HPC. This period will allow you to learn our programme, develop your technical knowledge and build relationships with our gymnasts before progressing to taking groups independently, with continued support from the HPC.
We’re not simply recruiting the highest qualification – we’re looking for the right person.
If you already have significant experience, we want you to bring your expertise, ideas and strengths to our programme.
If you have the foundations, passion and potential but still have more to learn, we are happy to invest in your training, qualifications and long-term development.

Ever considered becoming a coach?
Are you an ex gymnast looking to get back into the sport? Are you a parent who brings their child to a session and is interested to learn more? Perhaps you are looking for a new hobby? Or even looking for new employment?
Here at CGA, we are looking to expand our dynamic work force with new fresh faces. No previous gymnastics experience needed, just an enthusiasm for sport, a willingness to learn and be 14+ years old. CGA will pay for your British Gymnastics membership and enhanced DBS (required for 16 years and over), Award Scheme Coach qualification, training & mentoring in return for volunteered hours during process. Once qualified and positions are available, this will then lead into a paid role. For those wishing to extend their knowledge and move up the pay scale, you will then be invited to attend UKCC level 1 – 4 courses.
