Vacancy at Cambridge Gymnastics Academy CIC 

Lead Recreational Coach Level 3 GG/WA/MA Coach 

Available from the 16th September 2019 

Location: North Cambridge Academy, Arbury Road, Cambridge, CB4 2JF 

Cambridge Gymnastics Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to ensure continuation of an established recreational coaching programme. 

The successful candidate will have passion for recreational gymnastics and have the ability to inspire, mentor & lead a team of staff. They must be well organised and creative. They will be responsible for day time school teaching, recreational & adult programmes. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in either General, Women’s or Men’s Artistic Gymnastics. They must be experienced in preparing gymnasts for competition. A Pre-school & freestyle qualification would also be desirable. They will also be a member of British Gymnastics and will possess a current DBS check and will have attended or be prepared to attend a Safeguarding Children Course. A valid Driving License and a current First Aid Certificate are both desirable. 

Responsible to the head coach, the successful candidate will be required to coach daytimes & evenings on a Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Wednesday & Saturday day. Total hours 40. They must attend competitions and extra training when required. 

Cambridge Gymnastics Academy was founded in May 2012, and is already one of the largest clubs in the area. Offering various disciplines and catering for all ages. We moved into our dedicated facility in April 2016. Since then we were shortlisted as ‘BG Club of the Year 2017’, won ‘Community Club of the Year 2017’ and ‘Impact to Sports Award 2018’ voted by Living Sport. We would like to take someone on board that will move forwards with the club, be a role model and to also further their coach education. It’s of utmost importance that the individual has the same energy and drive as rest of the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to take on a challenge. 

Salary variable dependant of experience and qualification ranging from £24,960- £28,080. Holiday entitlement – 4 weeks worth of hours, bank holidays and Easter Saturday all paid. 3% pension included.
